FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if no sound plays?
First, make sure the metronome volume in Metronome Go and your device’s media volume are both above zero. Stop playback, then preview and select a built-in sound again on the Sound screen.
If there is still no sound, close and reopen the app, then include your device model and iOS version when contacting support.
Why does the app request microphone permission?
Microphone permission is used only when you actively record a custom sound. Denying permission does not affect built-in sounds or the core metronome.
To grant or revoke access, open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and change the setting for Metronome Go.
How do I record or delete a custom sound?
Open Sound, select Record New Sound, then trim, name, and save the recording. In My Sounds, swipe left on a custom sound to rename or delete it.
Does Metronome Go support background playback?
Yes. After starting the beat, you can lock the screen or switch to another app and playback can continue. Metronome Go can also mix with other audio when that option is enabled.
If background playback stops unexpectedly, reopen Metronome Go and start playback again. Contact support if the issue continues.
How do I clear local data?
You can delete recordings individually in My Sounds. Deleting Metronome Go completely removes settings and custom recordings stored in its app sandbox; the system’s Offload App option keeps documents and data.
Does the app require an account or network connection?
The core metronome does not. Metronome Go has no account, login, subscription, or cloud service. The web versions of the Privacy Policy and App Support open in the system browser and require a network connection.
